Signing Day 2023
April 2023
In late April 2023, both of Meadowbrook High School's Specialty Centers celebrated 16 seniors as they shared the schools they committed to college. Scholarships from both organizations were given out. Students are attending schools such as:
-Lincoln University
-Norfolk State University
-Old Dominion University
-University of North Carolina Greensboro
-University of Virginia
-Virginia State University
-George Mason University

College Visits 2023-24
MBK is Traveling to Explore College Options
A special thanks to Meadowbrook's School Counseling Team for arranging several in-school visits from colleges and same-day admissions events.
Our students are longing for more, so IB is hitting the road. We are heading to the University of Richmond, Richard Bland College and Coppin State College. We are also taking a small group to a College Fair in Northern Virginia in Novemeber 2023.

Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS)
What is CAS?
Students in the IB program are required to complete CAS experiences during their junior and senior years. During their two years, students are to complete a month long project that can go under either Creativity, Activity or Service. Projects that the class of 2023 completed were:
-Small Construction Project Projects
-Campus beautification project
-IB Mural

What Are Some Things that IB Students Gain?
Did you know that IB students are eligible for a scholarship at the end of their senior year?
Did you know that IB students are able to earn college credits for their time in the IB program?
A wise man once said "[they] that endure until the end..." Staying in the program until the end of senior year has its benefits.
